MMCC’s honey chiffon cake⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Light, sweet but not too sweet, soft, lemon-drizzled goodness. Created by @nattygro for Rosh Hashanah many years ago, first published in Now for Something Sweet (2020)🍯💛⭐️

This ‘Shakshuka with Merguez Sausage’ is BLOODY DELICIOUS but it is also a dish with soul and a heartbreaking story.

The recipe can be found in the new ‘Tastes from Heaven’ cookbook, a tribute to those who sacrificed everything on October 7th. The cookbook can be ordered from UIA’s website or comment BOOK and I will send you the link.

This recipe (which I will def be making again and again!) honours Sergeant Yotam Hillel who was only 19 when he was killed protecting civilians from Hamas. May his memory be a blessing.

This is the sweetest and most delicious challah for Rosh Hashanah🍯.

We’ve added a little honey for new year sweetness, as well as chunks of green apple with sultanas and cinnamon.

It’s an absolutely irresistible loaf and we urge you to give it a try this year.

Teiglach are unique golden, shiny, syrup-soaked large ring-shaped pastries/biscuits/sweet treats for Rosh Hashanah made most often and loved by many of our South African friends.

We were lucky that the gorgeous @karynmoskow shared her special mum Ray’s recipe for our third book. Sadly, Ray passed away earlier this year. We remember her SO SO fondly - a beautiful lady indeed!

Ray, Karyn and one of Karyn’s daughters Robyn (3 generations❤️❤️❤️) came to the photo studio in 2016 when we were shooting the book, bringing a giant batch of their seriously excellent teiglach.

This recipe is exactly what our books are about. Writing down recipes, trying them out, sharing them, passing them down from generation to generation, preserving these treasures so they won’t ever be lost.

Any may Ray’s memory be a blessing. She was a true eshet chayil and we feel honoured to have known her 💔❤️.
