Recipes for Passover (Part 4) – 2020

It's a different sort of Pesach this year. But we still need to eat.

We are thrilled to share Now for Something Sweet (our new book!) with you for Pesach this year, although Pesach 2020 will be different to every other one we have had. We hope and pray that by Pesach 2021 all will be well in the world.

Everyone’s Seder tables will be smaller than usual, and many of us (myself included) will be cooking a complete Seder for the first time.

Despite everything going on around us, we all still need to eat.

So there is only one thing to do – let’s cook.

If you have a copy of our new book, this list will help you find the recipes just PERFECT for Pesach.

If you don’t yet have the book, you can buy it through our online shop, through your local bookstore (many of whom are delivering now), Booktopia or Amazon. We promise you will love it!

We are always happy to answer any queries about menus, recipes, Pesach ideas – just comment on this post or contact us through FB or instagram.

This is Nana's Date and Nut Loaf.
Jacqui's Nana, to be precise.

So simple.
So good.

Recipe can be found in our third book, It's Always About the Food, on p. 278.

We tried Jaks' nana's nut loaf for the first time at our working retreat for this book, back in early 2016. We spent four days locked away from all distraction, madly finishing the testing of recipes and sorting of chapters. A lot of heated debates were had, and one afternoon's tension was relieved when we all sat down with a good, strong cuppa and a thickly buttered slice of nut loaf. Disagreements were resolved, frustrations were calmed and all was good in the MMCC house.

Check out the video tomorrow on our IGTV and you will see how simple it really is.

Last one, we promise.
Mini-bundt butter cake with blood orange icing.

We had a very funny hour - and at times hectic - baking butter cakes in different shapes and sizes with different frostings and icings.

The recipe for this outstanding Basic Butter Cake can be found in our new book Now for Something Sweet on page 43. (With thanks to Merrylin Goodman.)

Our next Zoom event is on Monday 20 July at 11 am and we would love you to cook along with us to make a fabulous-for-winter Lamb and Date Tagine.
It is a free event but you do need to register - click on the link in our profile or copy this into your browser: bit.ly/MMCC_ZOOM_20_07
